Step into a role that’s dynamic and rewarding. Aged care allows you to move beyond the ordinary and make a positive difference in people’s lives.
A career in aged care is both fulfilling and impactful, giving you the chance to support older Australians and their families as they age.
With over 450,000 aged care workers nationwide, Australia’s aged care sector spans residential care, in-home services, and commonwealth support programs.
With Australia's ageing population on the rise, demand for skilled aged care workers is growing rapidly. The Australian Government projects the workforce will need to expand to 980,000. Breakthru College offers quality training to help you gain the skills and experience needed to thrive in this evolving field.
With practical experience and a strong commitment to helping others, our trainers offer more than just theory. You’ll graduate not only with a recognised qualification but with the ability to provide real, compassionate care.

Breakthru College delivers accredited aged care courses that blend theory with hands-on training. Each qualification includes a compulsory work placement to ensure students graduate with practical, industry-relevant experience.
This qualification prepares support workers for roles in both community and residential environments. You’ll learn how to deliver person-centred care using individualised support plans for older people.

Support workers with this qualification carry out specialised duties across home, community, and residential settings. They work with greater independence and leadership while following established guidelines to deliver care based on individualised plans.
Australian residents living in QLD may be eligible to have all or part of their course fees subsidised using the Skills Assure State Government funding scheme.
Start with a $200 deposit, then pay as little as $42.89 per week for 12 months.

Breakthru College provides access to government funding for eligible learners, including Smart & Skilled (NSW) and Skills Assure (QLD). If funding isn’t available, students can choose from a range of payment schedules to suit their financial needs.
These two courses both support the development of skills in individualised care for older Australians. The Certificate III in Individual Support has a broader application across community and health sectors, while the Certificate IV in Ageing Support is a more advanced qualification designed for specialised aged care roles with higher levels of responsibility.
Our full qualification courses include compulsory work placements, typically requiring 120 hours of practical experience in an aged care setting with full support.
Finishing one of our courses may open the door to higher qualifications like a diploma or bachelor-level program.
