Smart and Skilled (NSW)

Smart and Skilled is a NSW Government program that offers subsidised training to eligible residents.

Eligibility criteria

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are aged 15 years or older
  • Have left school
  • Live or work in NSW
  • Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

Skills Assure (QLD)

Skills Assure is the Queensland Government’s framework for subsidised vocational education and training.

Eligibility criteria

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are aged 15 years or older
  • Have left school
  • Live or work in NSW
  • Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

Flexible payment options

If you are not eligible for government subsidies, Breakthru College offers interest-free payment plans to help you spread out the cost of your course.

Yes. Breakthru College offers flexible, interest-free payment plans to help you start studying sooner.

Yes. We offer traineeships through the User Choice program in QLD and under the Smart and Skilled Traineeship Program in NSW. Speak to us to find out if your employment qualifies.

Many of our Certificate III and Certificate IV courses are Centrelink-approved. If you are receiving an allowance, we can provide a letter of enrolment for your reporting requirements.

No. All fees will be disclosed in your enrolment quote and agreement. There are no additional charges for enrolment, materials, or administration unless otherwise specified.

We understand that circumstances can change. Our team will discuss options for deferral, refund eligibility, or credit transfer.

You can apply for RPL as part of your enrolment process. You will be asked to provide evidence of prior work experience or qualifications relevant to the course.

Short courses are generally not subsidised. For most of our short courses, students must pay up front to enrol and access materials.
