While both courses cover the skills needed to deliver individualised care based on an older person's needs, the Certificate III in Individual Support is more general and prepares you for a broader range of roles across aged care, disability, or health care. In contrast, the Certificate IV in Ageing Support focuses specifically on aged care and qualifies you for roles with increased autonomy.
To complete our full qualifications, students must undertake a work placement, usually consisting of 120 fully supported hours in an aged care environment.
Finishing one of our courses may open the door to higher qualifications like a diploma or bachelor-level program.
