This qualification prepares support workers for roles in both community and residential environments. You’ll learn how to deliver person-centred care using individualised support plans for older people.
With this qualification, support workers take on advanced responsibilities in home, community, and residential care. They’re expected to work more independently and guide care delivery using tailored support plans.

Australian residents living in NSW may be eligible to have all or part of their course fees subsidised using the Smart & Skilled State Government funding scheme.

Yes, students can use previous work experience to apply for recognition of prior learning. This requires enrolment in a qualification and submission of the RPL Application Form found in the Learner Handbook. A $250 administration fee applies to each RPL unit.
