Working in the Parramatta Aged Care Industry

Losing independence can be one of the most challenging parts of ageing. When a person’s need for support impacts their ability to remain in the comfort of their home, it can feel as though they’re losing control. Once you’ve graduated from Breakthru College, you could be able to play a pivotal role in helping people hold on to that part of their lives.

Over the past few years, the demand for aged care workers has been rising. Australia’s population of people aged 65 and over has grown significantly, and from 2019 to 2020 alone almost one million Australians were relying on aged care services for individualised support. This includes 840,000 people receiving home support via the Commonwealth Home Support Program and close to 245,000 housed permanently in aged care facilities.

The number of aged care workers working across Australia simply isn’t meeting this growing demand. Parramatta’s aged care sector is more in need of qualified and skilled workers than ever. With the space available, there has never been a better time to step into the aged care industry.
