Imagine a role where no two days are the same—and each one brings the chance to help others. A career in aged care lets you make a real difference while doing meaningful work.
A career in aged care is both fulfilling and impactful, giving you the chance to support older Australians and their families as they age.
There are more than 450,000 people working in aged care in Australia, supporting older individuals through services like home care, residential care, and commonwealth-funded programs.

At Breakthru College, our aged care qualifications are nationally recognised and created to support diverse career pathways. All programs include study and practical components, with mandatory placement to provide real-world experience.
This qualification prepares support workers for roles in both community and residential environments. You’ll learn how to deliver person-centred care using individualised support plans for older people.

Support workers with this qualification carry out specialised duties across home, community, and residential settings. They work with greater independence and leadership while following established guidelines to deliver care based on individualised plans.
