While both courses cover the skills needed to deliver individualised care based on an older person's needs, the Certificate III in Individual Support is more general and prepares you for a broader range of roles across aged care, disability, or health care. In contrast, the Certificate IV in Ageing Support focuses specifically on aged care and qualifies you for roles with increased autonomy.

Yes, students are able to provide relevant work experience as evidence for RPL. The process begins with enrolling in a qualification and completing the RPL Application Form included in the Learner Handbook. A $250 administration fee is charged per RPL unit.
