Aged care courses made affordable

Australian residents living in NSW may be eligible to have all or part of their course fees subsidised using the Smart & Skilled State Government funding scheme.

Students who do not qualify for funding:

Start with a $200 deposit, then pay as little as $42.89 per week for 12 months.

Government-subsidised training for eligible NSW residents. It applies to courses on the NSW Skills List, from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma. Use the online fee-estimate tool to confirm eligibility and see your student fee.

These qualifications share a focus on individualised care tailored to the needs of older people. The Certificate III in Individual Support offers a broader foundation suitable for roles across aged care, disability, and healthcare sectors, while the Certificate IV in Ageing Support delivers more specialised training for those seeking greater responsibility in aged care settings.

Our full qualification courses include compulsory work placements, typically requiring 120 hours of practical experience in an aged care setting with full support.

Your course completion could help you enrol in additional study pathways, including diploma or bachelor-level qualifications.

Yes, students can use previous work experience to apply for recognition of prior learning. This requires enrolment in a qualification and submission of the RPL Application Form found in the Learner Handbook. A $250 administration fee applies to each RPL unit.
