This nationally recognised qualification will give you the tools you need to become a valued and integral part of the business sector and make yourself highly-employable in an office or a corporate environment. Develop the knowledge and skills to carry out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require technology and business skills. This qualification will help open up pathways to work in a diverse range of business settings including Business Administrator, Office Assistant, Customer Service Representative, Receptionist, General Clerk, and Data Entry Operator. You’ll be able to graduate job-ready with an education in the fundamentals of business.
There is no work placement required for this qualification.

Students who complete this course may wish to continue to Certificate IV in Business or other Certificate IV level qualifications offered by any RTO.
Breakthru College has the following entry requirements:
Language, Literacy and Numeracy
To effectively participate in their studies, all online learners are required to have their own laptop / tablet installed with Microsoft Office or similar. Learners are also required to have access to a stable internet connection and a computer / laptop / tablet to participate in an online LLN assessment.
Breakthru College also has an option to provide physical copies of learning and assessment resources for face to face students.
Delivery and assessment
Breakthru College will use the following delivery methods:
Face to face / virtual classroom (theory and practical sessions) – includes classroom-based delivery for knowledge and practical teaching in a simulated environment
- Self-paced study (structured and mandatory) – students are required to undertake self-study to complete a range of structured activities such as reading, research, completing case studies, and quizzes to reinforce their learning.
Breakthru College will use the following assessment methods:
- Oral or Written Questions
- Observation / Demonstration / Role-play
- Case Study / Studies
You will be required to complete a range of activities throughout the course depending on the requirements of each unit of competency. You will also be provided with the assessment and delivery plan at the commencement of your course which outlines the topics to be covered, duration, resources and due dates.
You are expected to allocate a minimum of 27 to 33 hours per week to undertake this qualification. This includes training, self-paced study, supervised and non-supervised assessment activities, and work placement requirements.
Students will be provided with the following support services:

- Referral to external support services
- Reasonable adjustments to training and assessments
